Pakistan's Debut EV Maker to Roll Out Electric SUV in 2025

Jaxeri Automotive (Pvt.) Ltd., Pakistan's pioneering electric vehicle manufacturer, is set to make a significant mark on the automotive landscape with its ambitious plan to introduce a fully-electric compact SUV to the Pakistani market in 2025.

According to the latest report from Automark Magazine, a notable development has taken place at the company's local Research and Development (R&D) facility, highlighted by the visit of Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, Chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

During this significant meeting, Jaxeri Automotive presented the progress and advancements being achieved in the realm of car manufacturing. Particularly, they shared comprehensive details about their strides in creating a fully electric small SUV.

Emphasizing their commitment to national innovation, Jaxeri's representatives affirmed that the upcoming SUV will be meticulously designed and manufactured within Pakistan. The anticipated timeline for the official launch of this pioneering SUV in Pakistan is set for the year 2025.

A Brief Background:

Jaxeri Automotive made waves previously when it unveiled the Nur-E 75 electric hatchback prototype in Pakistan on August 14, 2022.

This remarkable prototype was the outcome of collaborative efforts involving the DICE Foundation, a US-based NGO led by individuals of Pakistani origin. The Nur-E 75 aimed to penetrate the economy car segment, reflecting a dedication to accessible electric mobility.

Under the hood, the Nur-E 75 boasts a robust 107HP/200Nm single electric motor, offering a notable top speed of 127 km/hr. Its power source consists of a 35 kWh battery pack, which the company confidently claims provides a substantial range of 200 kilometers. Charging convenience comes in the form of a regular 7-8 hour charge time or a swift 2-hour fast charging option.
