PAMA Reports 4% Increase in Car Sales Last Month

Every month, we present an in-depth analysis of the PAMA report, focusing on the latest sales trends in the local car market. Despite a persistent downtrend in recent months, car sales have shown occasional positive spikes. Following a slight increase in April 2024, car sales have once again risen.

Monthly Car Sales Overview
According to the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), car sales increased by 4% month-on-month (MoM), with 10,949 units sold last month compared to 10,515 units in April 2024.

Yearly Car Sales Comparison
Year-on-year (YoY), car sales have impressively doubled, marking a 100% increase. This surge is largely due to the stabilization of the Pakistani Rupee against the US dollar. In May 2024, car manufacturers sold 10,949 units, up from 5,464 units in May 2023.
