People Bus Service by Sindh Government in Karachi

The government of Sindh has started the People bus service in Karachi, which is the new public transport service and they are air conditioned and cheap. Now the residents of Karachi will enjoy the new bus service for their local commute. The Sindh government has launched this public transport service with the collaboration of Daewoo.



The government has introduced the fleet of 10 buses, which will be driven between Quaidabad and Tower bus stop and these buses will be increased to 50 in short time. The buses are air-conditioned and they will have the capacity of 30 seats and each bus has separate doors for men and women. The fare of the buses will be within the range from Rs.20 to Rs.40 according to the distance of the commute.

The Minister for transport, Lahore and Information of Sindh government said that his government thanked Daewoo for providing support and they have started the business to start their business in the city as they have already started this business in Lahore.He further added that it was expected that the number of buses will be increased soon.

Karachi Transport System

Karachi is the largest metropolis of Pakistan with total population over 16 million and 10 buses on single route are not enough to settle the transportation requirements of the largest city as most of the citizens rely on the public transport.

It is also added that the transportation system of our country is in pitiful state and the big cities like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi and 50 buses are also insufficient for this big city to meet the requirements of the citizens. He also said that over 8000 buses can prevent the local people of Karachi from getting stuffed in the buses like cattle in the public transports.
