Peugeot Cars Launch in Pakistan For 3rd Time

Peugeot cars are now going to launch in Pakistan and this is the third time in its history that this car is going to launch in Pakistan for the third time.

The First Time

For the first time in the history, Peugeot cars were launched in the country in late 1960s. Then the company launched its Peugeot hatchbacks, sedans and station wagons were introduced and they came on the roads. The enthusiasts viewed CBU Units of Peugeot 204 and 205 hatchbacks in limited imports in 80s and they could not maintain their market. This vehicle has to have the tough competitions with other vehicles like Daihatsu Charade, Toyota Starlet, Suzuki Swift MK-I, and other Japanese cars and within few years, this French vehicle strong competition.



The Second Time

The French car, Peugeot was launched in Pakistan in early 90s under Yellow Cab scheme and the Peugeot 205 hatchback and Peugeot 309 sedan was launched in the market as Yellow cabs but the launching of these vehicles was failed.

The vehicle got some success as the European diesel engines gave tough competition to local vehicles. There was nobody to fix the problems of these engines and the vehicles do not have the spare parts. The Japanese cars had been in the market for some time. The mechanics know petrol engines and the Japanese cars led the market by introducing their cars in order to give tough competition to the French rivals.



The Third Time

Peugeot was once again launched in Pakistani market after about two decades and the company has made the partnership with Lucky Motors Company to bring latest SUVs to Pakistan. LMC launched the new South Korean brand, KIA in the local market and got tremendous success and the company will take care of the new French car brand. LMC has launched the website and social media page of Peugeot Pakistan and the company is now testing three Peugeot SUVs, which are Peugeot 2008, Peugeot 3008 and Peugeot 5008.



Many changes are found in Peugeot cars than last time and Pakistani automotive industry got mature too much. Various new car brands have entered in the Pakistani market and they settled their offerings.
