Peugeot Launching All Electric 3008 and 5008 Models 2023
Peugeot is set to launch the next-generation 3008 and 5008 in the second half of 2023. The two new models, called the E-3008 and E-5008, will be battery-electric vehicles (BEVs). The E-3008 will be the first to be unveiled and will be built on the STLA Medium platform, one of four future "BEV-by-design" platforms for the Stellantis Group EVs.
This platform can accommodate both internal combustion engines and electric powertrains. Reports suggest that the E-3008 will have an electric range of up to 700 kilometers, with battery packs ranging from 87 kWh to 104 kWh, and offer three electric powertrains, including a dual-motor configuration. Information about the E-5008 is scarce at this time.

Peugeot also announced that it is introducing a new hybrid technology with a mild-hybrid 48V unit, which will be featured in the 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 5008, and 408 models. The company aims to sell only BEVs by 2030, and as part of this plan, all its models will include an electric variant in 2023, including the recently announced E-408.

The current BEV lineup of Peugeot consists of the E-208, E-2008, and E-308, and with the addition of the E-408 later this year, Peugeot will offer electric options for all its models. The company's focus on electrification reflects the industry trend towards sustainable and emission-free transportation
