PM Shahbaz Sharif Leads Inauguration of Bhara Kahu Bypass

Islamabad, Pakistan - On Thursday, the long-awaited Bhara Kahu bypass was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion and provide relief to commuters and tourists bound for Murree, Galyat, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

A Much-Needed Solution: The Bhara Kahu Bypass

The newly completed project spans 5.4 kilometers, featuring a 1350-meter overhead bridge that took only 9 months to build. Costing over Rs. 6 billion, the bypass is expected to streamline traffic flow and offer respite to the local population and visitors alike.

Prime Minister's Optimism Amid Challenges

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the bypass's potential to address the traffic woes that have plagued Bhara Kahu, recognizing the initial hurdles faced during the project's execution, particularly land acquisition.

Challenges and Safety Concerns

However, the Bhara Kahu Bypass has faced a troubled history marred by issues of subpar quality, execution, and safety concerns. A recent accident at the construction site further raised doubts about the project's integrity and management.

Despite its checkered past, the public remains hopeful that the Bhara Kahu Bypass will prove reliable and functional once operational.
