Proton Is Ready To Launch Its SUV And Sedan In January 2021
The Proton is reportedly ready to launch its new lineup of vehicles in January 2021 with the collaboration of Al Haj Group in the Pakistani auto market. According to reports the automaker will make debut of its SUV X70 crossover and the Sega Sedan. The company plans to assemble the cars locally and these will be available as Complete Build up Unit CBU in Pakistan.
Proton X70
The Proton X70 will come with 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine. It will make 176hp and 255nm torque. The crossover will be coupled with 6-speed automatic o r a gearbox with 7 speed DCT. The car will be topped with Al Wheel Drive AWD and it is not yet confirmed that Pakistani variant will be provided with AWD o r not. The Proton X70 will fight against its competitors in the Pakistani market like Kia Sportage, the Hyundai Tucson, the DFSK Glory 580, and the awaited MG HS.

The global variant of this compact crossover will come with steering wheel switches, tilt, telescopic adjustment, advanced gauge cluster with an LCD information screen, central door locking with auto-lock, a push-start button, six airbags, an air purifier system, rear air vents, automatic dual-zone climate control and other latest features.
Saga Sedan
The second vehicle that will hit the Pakistani auto market is the Sega Sedan. It is a fourth generation compact sedan. It will compete in the market with the Toyota Yaris and Honda City.

The Sega Sedan by Proton is housed with 4-cylinder petrol engine with the fuel capacity of 1.3 liter. It produces 94hp and 120nm torque. It is accompanied with 5-speed manual o r a 4-speed CVT automatic transmission.
The Sega Sedan has generally featured with power windows, power-operated door locks, a basic audio system with radio, AUX, USB, Bluetooth, airbags, ABS brakes, parking sensors and crash sensors.
The Proton has not yet confirmed on what price these cars will be available in the local auto market of Pakistan. But the company always provides its vehicles comparatively low as compared to other automakers for the better competition in the market.
