Proton Pakistan has finally launched the long awaited sedan, the Proton Saga, which has been unveiled at a digital launch event. Saga is the second Proton car to be launched in Pakistan after the Proton X70. Alhaj Proton has introduced the Saga sedan in three variants, the standard MT manual transmission, standard AT auto transmission and Ace AT auto transmission.
Today we are going to compare Proton Saga with Suzuki Cultus VXL MT in which we will present the features, engine, interior features, safety features and price comparator of both the vehicles to the consumers.
The Cultus car has also been performing consistently in terms of sales in the local market for many years, and with the entry of the Proton Saga it will be interesting to see if this will hinder the sales of the Suzuki Cultus.

Engine and transmission
The Proton Saga is powered by a 1299 cc inline 4-cylinder DOHCVT engine that produces 95hp and 120Nm of torque. The Suzuki Cultus has a 998cc inline 3-cylinder 10B engine with 67hp and 90Nm of torque. This comparison clearly shows that the engine and transmission of the Proton Saga is much stronger.
In addition, both the vehicles have a 5-speed manual transmission which makes them similar in this category.
Exterior
Both sedans and hatchbacks have halogen front lights with no DRL. However, the Proton Saga does not have fog lamps, while the Suzuki Cultus has fog lamps. In terms of the size of both tires, the Proton car has 14-inch steel wheels, while the Cultus has 14-inch alloy rims.
Interior
The Proton Saga has hydraulic power steering, while the Suzuki Cultus has electronic power steering. However, the windows of both vehicles are designed to be much stronger.
