Proton SAGA Standard MT Vs Toyota Yaris GLI 1.3L MT

Today we are going to make a comparison of Proton Saga Standard Manual Transmission MT variant with Toyota Yaris GLI 1.3L MT. Proton Saga is a newly launched sedan in Pakistan I auto market while Toyota Yaris sedan was launched in March 2020.

Engine and Transmission

Proton Saga is equipped with 1299cc Inline 4-Cylinder DOHC VVT engine that produces 91hp and 120 Nm torque. The Yaris, on the other hand has Inline 1332cc 4-Cylinder DOHC Dual VVT engine that generates 97hp and 123 Nm torque and hence is better than Proton Saga. Both sedans come with 5-Speed Manual Transmission.

Exterior

As for the exterior, the Saga sedan has Halogen lamps. On the other hand, the Yaris is provided with 4-Beam Halogen Headlamps. The DRLs and Fog Lamps are absent in both cars. Moreover, the Saga Sedan has 14-inch steel wheels, while Yaris comes with 15-inch Steel Wheels.

Interior

As far as the interior is concerned, Saga is installed with Hydraulic Power Steering while Yaris is featured with Electronic Power Steering. Meanwhile, Power Windows are available in both cars.

Safety

For the safety, both cars are provided with Brake Assist, ABS+EBD and 2 Airbags. Saga is featured with Rear Parking Sensors while Yaris do not have. Yaris comes with some additional features like Front Parking Sensors, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist and Electronic Stability Control. Reverse Camera is absent in both sedans.

Price

Saga Standard 1.3L MT comes at Rs 1,975,000 while Toyota Yaris GLI 1.3L MT is priced at Rs 2,509,000 which shows that the Saga sedan is Rs 5,34,000 cheaper than Yaris sedan.
