Punjab Driving License Process Goes Paperless

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Usman Anwar has ordered driver's license offices throughout Punjab to streamline the application process. As per a media report, the department has eliminated the file system from the driving license issuance process, and applicants can now apply for a driving license by showing their National Identity Cards (NICs).

Additionally, the department has also allowed applicants to take driving tests in their private cars. These measures have been implemented as part of the paperless driving license issuance system to make the process more straightforward and convenient for candidates and Punjab Simplifies Driving License Test Application Process. 24 Hour Service

In February, Punjab Police announced the launch of a 24-hour driving license service in six of the province's most populated cities. These centers will serve citizens even after office hours, allowing them to obtain their licenses in as little as 24 hours.

According to DIG Traffic, driving test centers will be established in the province's six major cities, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Sialkot. These centers will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing round-the-clock service to applicants.
