In June 2024, Sindh conducted its first-ever premium number auction, and now Punjab is introducing a similar program. The Punjab government has launched a scheme that allows residents to personalize their vehicle number plates, whether with their name, company logo, or a mix of three letters or numbers. This initiative is designed to offer a unique customization option for vehicle owners.

Excise Department's New Initiative

The Punjab Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department has initiated this program to provide citizens with the chance to customize their vehicle plates. This new offering is tailored to meet the diverse needs of vehicle owners, giving them the opportunity to add a personal touch or brand identity to their cars.

How the Customization Works

The program offers three distinct options for customization:

Platinum Category: This category allows you to personalize your plate with up to eight characters, such as a name or meaningful word. For example, "SARAH" could be chosen as a number plate. The base cost for this category starts at Rs. 5 million.

Corporate Category: Designed specifically for businesses, this category enables companies to display their names on their vehicles, like "COCA-COLA" or "PEPSI." The registration cost for this category is fixed at Rs. 10 million, with additional charges for attractive registration marks.

Gold Category: If you prefer to include a specific combination of three letters and three numbers, this category is available for Rs. 0.5 million.
