Punjab Transporters Slash Fares by 10%
In response to the caretaker government's decision to slash the price of petrol by Rs. 14 per liter, transporters have taken the initiative to alleviate the financial burden on the public. The Punjab Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Secretary confirmed that transporters promptly adjusted their fares following the recent Rs. 14 per liter reduction in petrol prices. Additionally, he issued strict directives for indiscriminate action against those who failed to comply with the government's order, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that the benefits of reduced fuel prices reach the general population.
Significant Reductions in Petrol and Diesel Prices
It's noteworthy that over the last three months, there has been a substantial reduction in the prices of both petrol and diesel. Petrol prices have seen a decline of Rs. 64.04 per liter, while diesel prices have decreased by Rs. 52.99 per liter. These reductions play a crucial role in easing the financial strain on consumers and contribute to making transportation services more economically accessible.
