Registration of Car in Islamabad

You need to get register your car by yourself and you can save handsome money. You need to know the complete procedure for the registration of your car. The government employees in the excise office will help you in providing proper information and procedure. Some of the people have to face some problems in the ETO office.

Location:

Islamabad ETO office is located in Sector H-9, which is opposite to
Allama Iqbal University and you need to report there to get register your vehicle with them. You should reach there early in the morning and if you get late, you will have to stand in the long queues. The employees sitting there are efficient but due to rush, you will have to show the patience.

Documents:

If you have the imported car, then you will have to fill in the 11 documents and they are Goods Declaration GD, Export Certificates, Bill of Lading, Old registration book o r sales invoice and the copy of the passport to show the name of the imported vehicle. The locally assembled vehicle sales invoice o r sales certificate is required for the registration of the vehicle.

You will have to provide the CNIC showing the address of Islamabad. If a resident has no property in Islamabad but he is residing in Islamabad on rent, then he will have to provide the copy of rent certificate, utility bill and CNIC card. The employment of the government and semi government departments in Islamabad, the applicant has to attach the copy of the appointment letter, office card and CNIC.

You need to download the application forms from the website of ETO and complete it by providing the correct information and submit it to the ETO office with all necessary documents duly attached with the application forms.

Registration Fee

When you complete the paper work, then you need to pay the registration fee. If the car is locally purchased, then you need to pay the total value of the vehicle, which is mentioned in the sales invoice. The total value of vehicle is equal to the assessed value of the vehicle with the customs duty paid.
