Sale of 5th Gen Toyota Prius in Japan Opens
Toyota made the debut of the new Toyota Prius in Japan during the month of November last year and now this car is available in the Pakistani market right now for sale. The company has made the debut of this car in the local market and a hybrid variant of Toyota Prius is powered by Parallel hybrid technology, which is developed under the “hybrid reborn” platform the plug-in variant of this car will be launched during March this year. The company has expectations that they will sell 4300 units per month of this car in Japan.
Power and Variants
The company has launched 4 variants of the new Prius with 2 powertrains with 8 trim levels. Each model has front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive in the local market and two variants with 1.8L engines and others will be added with 2.0L.
• 1.8L engine with front-wheel drive
• 1.8L engine with all-wheel-wheel drive
• 2.0L engine with front-wheel drive
• 2.0L engine with all-wheel drive
If you want to check the power of the new car, you will find that this car will take less than 7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
Fuel Economy
The 1.8L variant of this car offers a fuel average of 32.6 km/l and the 2.0L variant has a fuel average of 28.6 km/l. Toyota says that this car gives an output of 144 kW and which is 1.6 times more than the current model offers to the clients.
Price
As far as the price of all variants of this car is concerned, the front-wheel drive variant with 1.8L has a price tag of 20.8 thousand dollars, which is Rs.4572334 lac and the all-wheel drive variant is provided in the market with the same power has the price of 22.5 thousand US dollar, which in Pak currency is Rs.5143875.75 lac. The price of the 2.0L variant with FWD of Prius is started from USD 24200 (PKR 5532524) and AWD variant with 2.0L has a price of USD30,000 (PKR 6858501).
