Shahdara Flyover Ready for Public Use

The Shahdara Flyover, a key infrastructure project by the Punjab government, has been successfully completed and is now open for public use. The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) confirmed the project's completion last week, addressing a longstanding issue of traffic congestion at Shahdara Mor, particularly for commuters traveling from smaller cities to Lahore.

The government initiated the construction of the Shahdara Flyover in February 2023. The project encompasses two three-lane flyovers spanning 850 meters, connecting GT Road and N-5 over Shahdara Morr. This development is expected to benefit approximately 300,000 vehicles daily, offering a viable solution to the persistent traffic problems in the city.

Residents of Lahore, Shahdara, Old Ravi, Kot AbulMalik, Kala Shah Kaku, and areas surrounding Lahore Ring Road stand to gain significant relief from the newly completed flyover. In addition to the Shahdara Flyover, plans for a flyover from Sheikhupura to Ravi River are underway.
