Suzuki Introduces 0% Markup Installment Plan for Bikes
Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has introduced a 0% markup installment plan for its bikes, following in the footsteps of Honda and Yamaha. However, this offer is limited to Bank Alfalah credit card holders and does not apply to the GSX 125 model. The plan allows customers to enjoy 0% markup for a maximum period of 18 months, which surpasses the competing plans offered by Yamaha and Honda that only extend up to nine months.
Interestingly, Suzuki also has its own in-house installment plan, which caters to a broader customer base regardless of their bank affiliations. This raises questions about the necessity and effectiveness of the plan in partnership with Bank Al-Falah.
Recent sales data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturer's Association (PAMA) shows that Pak Suzuki experienced a significant decrease of 29.1% in motorcycle sales, with only 820 units sold last month. Additionally, the company has announced non-production days (NPDs) for its bike manufacturing plant this month. Despite these challenges, Suzuki hopes to attract customer attention with the new installment plan, although its success remains uncertain given the frequent production pauses.
