Suzuki Raises Prices of Cars in Pakistan
Pak Suzuki has increased the prices of most of the cars, which are introduced in Pakistan and the company has suffered decline in the sale of the cars. When the taxi scheme was started, Pak Suzuki has gained the substantial profits and during last 9 months, the profit of Pak Suzuki went down by 55%, when you compare it with the same period of the previous year.
Due to end of Punjab Taxi Scheme, the sales and profits of the cars have been declined and they have triggered the increase in the prices of the vehicles. There is another reason for increase in the prices of the vehicle because of stronger Japanese Yen against PKR.
New Prices
Pak Suzuki has introduced the new prices of the vehicles and the models of the vehicles with increase in price, which is mentioned below within the brackets:
• WagonR VXR = PKR 1,054,000 +25,000 rupees
• WagonR VXL = PKR 1,094,000 +25,000 rupees
• Ciaz M/T = PKR 1,859,000 +160,000 rupees
• Ciaz A/T = PKR 1,999,000 +160,000 rupees
• Mehran VX = PKR 655,000 +5,000 rupees
• Mehran VXR = PKR 708,000 +5,000 rupees
• Mehran VX CNG = PKR 725,000 +5,000 rupees
• Mehran VXR CNG = PKR 778,000 +5,000 rupees
• Ravi VX = PKR 672,000 +1,000 rupees
• Bolan VX = PKR 730,000 +5,000 rupees
The new prices of the vehicles are applicable from 1st April and the orders, which are placed before 01 April, will not be changed with the increase of new price. The vehicle, Suzuki Ciaz got the biggest price raise for all with Rs.160,000 with the increase in automatic and manual transmission options. The price hike before the release of the car might turn off the potential buyers.
For the vehicles, WagonR VXL and VXR, the prices of the vehicle went up by Rs.25,000 and an increase of Rs.5,000 in the Suzuki Mehran models and it would affect their sales adversely.
Not The First Time
This is not the first that the prices of the Suzuki cars were increased. The company has increased the prices for Suzuki WagonR, Cultus and Mehran by Rs.103,000/-, Rs.80,000/- and Rs.20,000/- respectively.
