After an online preview in early October, Suzuki has finally unveiled the next-generation Swift at the Japan Mobility Show, formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show. Though Suzuki labels it a concept, the showcased model appears production-ready and is expected to debut as a formal production version soon.Exterior Evolution
The new Suzuki Swift showcases a more curvaceous design, retaining its sporty essence. It now features angular LED headlights with L-shaped LED DRLs and a smaller radiator grille with gloss black accents. Notable changes to the rear include a sharper bumper and LED tail lights with distinctive C-shaped elements. An interesting shift can be observed with the rear door handles, now positioned on the doors rather than the C-pillars as in the previous model.

Interior Refinements
The interior adopts an evolutionary design approach with a redesigned dashboard that positions a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system above the central air vents. The steering wheel is equipped with additional buttons around the center boss, and the circular controls of the air conditioning system have been replaced with toggle-like switches and buttons. The instrument cluster maintains an analog dial alongside a multi-information display, offering a blend of digital and analog elements.

Dimensions and Similarities
The Swift concept measures 3,860 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width, 1,500 mm in height, with a 2,450 mm wheelbase. These dimensions are quite similar to the current Swift, sharing the same wheelbase, width, and height, albeit with a 30 mm reduction in overall length.
Powertrain and Safety
Suzuki has not yet disclosed powertrain details for the new Swift. While it is expected to offer new Z-series and hybrid powertrains globally, it's possible that the models in different regions may continue to use the K-series 1.2L petrol engine. Notably, the showcased Swift at the event was equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), hinting at significant improvements in safety features and technology.
