Tesla Unveils Budget-Friendly Model Y Upgrade

Tesla has caused a stir in the electric vehicle arena with its budget-friendly and high-mileage solutions. Recently, the American automaker unveiled a fresh version of its popular Model Y in various European nations. Making the announcement on the social media platform 'X' (previously known as Twitter), Tesla Inc. proclaimed, “Introducing Model Y LR RWD, with maximum range for an entire week's commute without recharging – now at an even more attractive price.”

Innovative Features of Tesla Model Y

This latest variant boasts an impressive WLTP range of 600km (372 miles) and a top speed of 217km/h. Outfitted with 19-inch Gemini Wheels, it claims the title of having the most cost-effective mileage in the electric SUV market, at just 14.9 kWh/100km.

In comparison, the base Model Y variant offers a range of 455km (282 miles), while the long-range dual motor AWD variant extends to 533km (331 miles). With an acceleration time from 0 to 60mph of just 5.9 seconds, it surpasses the entry-level RWD model.

Pricing and Availability Details

This long-range Model Y RWD hits the market with a price tag of $52,500, positioning it as the second most affordable trim in the lineup. The most economical option remains the base RWD trim, priced at $48,200.

Available exclusively in select European countries including Austria, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Romania, and Hungary, with availability pending in the UK and Netherlands.
