Toyota Launches Operating System to Rival Tesla

Toyota Motor Corporation has developed the automotive software platform and this platform will handle all kinds of activities from basic functions to the advanced operations including autonomous driving. Toyota Launches Operating system to Rival Tesla.

This operating system has the important role to operate the electric motors and batteries and also facilitate the entertainment and navigation. The OS is called ‘Arene’ and it is expected to rival German companies Volkswagen and Daimler to set the standards for software powering the new coming vehicles.

Arene OS will handle the basic and important components like brakes, accelerator and steering wheel and also the traffic and information of the location. The vehicles will have the access to shared functions and it will update software like mobile phones so that they can get updates regarding performance of the vehicles.

Toyota will install Arene OS in its vehicle by 2025 and it will be provided to its affiliates like Subaru. This will be considering the licensing model for other manufacturers of cars and companies, which are working on the development of electric or self-driving cars.

It is also said that Arene OS will become more modern and effective to make new services with more users and developers and it will encourage other companies and developers to create applications for this software.
