Toyota Launching Corolla Cross Next Month In Pakistan

The Toyota Indus Motors Company IMC is set to launch its hybrid crossover SUV in Pakistan soon. According to a media outlet, automaker will launch Toyota Corolla Cross in Pakistan next month. Remember that the vehicle was previously reported to make it official debut in Pakistan in December 2020 but was delayed for unknown reasons. However, the SUV is finally coming to Pakistani auto market.



The Corolla Cross was globally launched in July 2020. The SUV competed with other compact crossover SUVs, such as the Honda Vezel/BR-V, Nissan Juke, and Toyota C-HR. The SUV is expected to come in Pakistan as complete Buildup Unit CBU. It will be imported from Thailand.

The Toyota Corolla Cross is installed with a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder hybrid petrol engine that combined with the electric motor generates 168 horsepower at 3600 RPM and 305 newton-meters of torque at 3600 RPM. It is a front wheel drive FWD vehicle.



The Toyota Corolla Cross will be offered in the two variants in Pakistani automotive industry. The SUV will be featured with a panoramic sunroof, a shark fin antenna, a rear wiper with auto sensors, push start, smart entry, multiple drive modes, ABS, Hill Start Assist, parking sensors, passenger seat sensors, and driver and passenger airbags. The top-of-the-line variant shall feature seven airbags instead of just two, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, leather seats, Dual-Zone Climate Control, rear AC vents, and power + kick sensor trunk door.



The Toyota Corolla Cross being a Hybrid CBU crossover SUV will be a high priced vehicle and its starting price tag is reportedly will be 8.5 million rupees which makes the SUV more expansive than all SUVs already available in the Pakistani auto market like KIA Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, DFSK Glory 580, Proton X70, and the MG HS.
