Toyota Plans to Swap Blue Hybrid Emblem for a Dot

Toyota Plans to Swap Blue Hybrid Emblem for a Dot
Since 2009, Toyota has utilized a distinctive emblem to denote its hybrid vehicles, enhancing the regular Toyota logo with a blue halo on hybrid-equipped models. However, the latest Camry, exclusively a hybrid, breaks from this tradition by omitting the blue halo badge.
Instead, the rear of the sedan features a blue dot alongside the 'HEV' letters, denoting hybrid electric vehicle. Toyota disclosed in a September announcement on X (previously Twitter) that this new circle signifies its dedication to "the happiness of people living on earth and [its desire] to pass it on to the next generation."

Accordingly, a Toyota spokesperson revealed that the traditional emblem with blue accents will be replaced by the blue dot across their new hybrids, plug-in hybrids, battery electric vehicles, and fuel-cell electric vehicles. The Camry, Crown, and Prius models spearhead this transition, with other Toyota vehicles following suit shortly.
Teaser images of the upcoming bZ3X already showcase the blue circle on the rear, accompanied by the "BEV" initials (for battery electric vehicle). Toyota's commitment to a diverse range of new energy cars, extending beyond electric vehicles, is highlighted by incorporating the dot across various models, reinforcing their environmental objectives.
