United Bikes Price Increase May 2023

United Bikes has increased the prices of its bikes in response to the current economic situation, citing increased production costs. The new prices will be effective from May 9, 2023, but bookings made before May 8 will be charged at the old prices.

The United US 70 has gone up by Rs. 3000, with its new price being Rs. 109,500. Similarly, the United US 100 has also seen a price jump of Rs. 3000, and its new rate is Rs. 115,000. However, the United US Scooty 100 will remain unchanged at Rs. 243,000, and the United US 125 Euro II has gone up by Rs. 5000, with its new price being Rs. 164,500.

The bike companies have attributed the repeated price hikes to import issues, expensive raw materials, and PKR depreciation. Despite claims of complete localization, these assemblers have remained unable to achieve it. Analysts predict that the automotive industry will take at least two to three years to recover from the current slump. This implies that we may continue to see price hikes for the foreseeable future.

Overall, the price hikes are not surprising given the challenging economic environment. However, it is essential for companies to ensure that their prices remain reasonable and affordable for the general public.
