Umar Sher Chattha, the Director General of Excise and Taxation Punjab, expressed that these changes would enhance access to vehicle registration across districts, improve compliance with traffic laws, and support law enforcement efforts. Punjab's single registration series, introduced in 2020, already boasts modern features like online tax payment systems, biometric vehicle transfers, digital registration cards, and real-time verification of vehicle ownership.
