Vehicles Sales Statistics For October 2020
The auto industry of Pakistan has observed a positive change regarding sales of cars during the October 2020. According to Pakistan Automotive Manufacturing Association PAMA’s latest report, the industry has sold 14,054 units in October 2020, against 10,853 vehicles in October 2019. Year On Year Car Sales
Regarding increase in car sales Indus Motors IMC and Honda Atlas are listed on the top on the basis of figures collected by Pakistan Automotive Manufacturing Association PAMA. The report issused by PAMA shows that IMC recorded 120% YoY increase in its sales and placed on the highest position. The Honda Atlas, on the other side recorded 61% YoY sales increase. Indus Motors sold 5,481 cars last month compared to 2,496 vehicles in the same month previous year. The company’s Yaris was the primary seller as 3,058 units hit the road. Meanwhile, Honda sold 2,230 units against just 1,384 units in October 2019.
However, Pak Suzuki Motor Company PSMC sales declined by 13% YoY. It sold 6,054 cars in October 2020 against 6,973 vehicles during the corresponding month of the previous year.
The sales of Alto have ped by 29% YoY, as 2,893 units were sold last month, against 4,048 vehicles in October 2019. Furthermore, the Cultus sales also saw a of 31% YoY, as only 816 were sold in October 2020, compared to 1,179 units in the same month previous year.
SUVs and Jeeps:
KIA Lucky Motors has once again dominated the SUV category last month. According to reports, it sold 1,500 units last month. Meanwhile, Hyundai Tucson sold 211 units last month. Meanwhile, Toyota sold 239 units of Fortuner previous month, as compared to 101 in October 2019.
Also, Honda sold 372 units of BR-V in October 2020, against 349 vehicles in the same period last year. Overall, 822 SUVs and Jeeps were sold last month, in comparison to 450 in October 2019.
Two-Wheelers and Three-Wheelers:
Atlas Honda sold 116,000 bikes last month, as compared to 100,018 units in the same month previous year. Overall, 175,294 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers have sold during the last month, against 156,872 vehicles in October 2019, showing 21% jump in YoY.
Trucks and Buses:
The trucks sales in October 2020 also show positive trend as 321 trucks were sold, as compared to 240 units in the same month last year. Meanwhile, 366 buses have been sold in October 2020, against 303 units in the same month previous year.
Tractors:

The sales of farm tractors have also seen a significant jump as 4,482 units left the dealerships last month, against 2,861 in October 2019.
Month on Month Car Sales:

Car sales also increased by 1% Month on Month MoM in Oct-2020. The increase was driven by IMC’s gain of 26% MoM as Yaris sales grew by 26%, MoM. Honda sales saw a decline of 19% MoM as City and Civic sales declined by 18% MoM most likely due to the availability of new launched Yaris.
