VinFast VF7 Debuts with a €37,500 Price Tag

VinFast, the Vietnamese automaker, is executing its strategic expansion plans, with the recently unveiled VinFast VF7 taking center stage. Although not yet a household name, VinFast is garnering attention for its dedication to manufacturing practical and affordable electric vehicles.

Positioned alongside its larger counterparts, the VF8 and VF9, the VinFast VF7 targets compact EV enthusiasts. Its distinguishing factor, beyond its smaller size, lies in its price, a feature that has sparked the interest of potential buyers.

Offered in two variants, the VinFast VF7 comes in Base and Plus models. The Base version boasts a single electric motor generating 130 kW (174 hp) and 250 Nm of torque, powered by a 59.6 kWh battery pack. This configuration achieves a commendable driving range of 375 km WLTP. On the other hand, the Plus version features a twin-motor setup providing four-wheel drive with an impressive 260 kW (349 hp). The larger 75.3 kWh battery pack extends the range to 431 km.

Pricing in Vietnam positions the Base version at approximately €37,500, while the Plus version is priced just under €45,000. Notably, VinFast offers a battery leasing option, substantially reducing the upfront cost. Although this involves a monthly lease, it enhances accessibility for a broader range of buyers.

Measuring 4.55 m in length, 1.89 m in width, and 1.64 m in height, with a wheelbase of 2.84 m, the Vinfast VF7 shares proximity with popular models like the Volkswagen ID.4 and the Peugeot e-3008.

The VF7's sleek and stylish body, crafted in Italy, underscores VinFast's commitment to aesthetics and design excellence.

Anticipation surrounds the imminent market introduction of the VinFast VF7 in Vietnam, with the first deliveries slated for early 2024. VinFast's global aspirations beyond its home market add an intriguing dimension, and the performance of this compact EV on a global scale is eagerly awaited.
