Which One Will You Choose? Toyota Altis 1.6 Vs Honda Br-V

When someone go for buying a good functioning sedan car they go for Toyota o r Honda. The sedan section is dominated by the latest corolla altis and Honda civic lineup in Pakistan. And if someone introduces a new sedan car then he has to add some extraordinary functioning in the car to compete with these two.

But not every can give 2.5 to 3.0 million pkr for a brand new Honda civic o r a new corolla altis grande, but still want something more than standard Honda city o r Toyota corolla gli.

Now come the brand new corolla altis 1.6 and Honda br-v although don’t belong to the same category but lies in the same price bracket. The price of the corolla altis 1.6 is 2199000 and the price of Honda br-v i-vtec s is 2329000.

EXTERIOR

The exterior of the altis is dynamic, prestige-boasting and iconic. Even with the simple headlamps not with those of bi-beam LED in altis grande, with a thin chrome grill it looks quite stylish because of the new design of the Toyota models. The plastic inserting in the bumper looks same like to functional air vents, though they are not but still gives the car a classy look. On the other hand br-v has a huge bulky looking front. Having a large bumper with circular inserts for fog lamps but the chrome grill in line with the projection head lamps makes the front of the car beautiful.
The sides of both the cars are normal. The only differentiating thing is the roof rail and the chrome door handle in br-v.





Br-v as a small suv has a hatch in the rear instead of the trunk. There is a small chrome grill that runs in both the tail lights. The back of the car is boring, and nothing special it has there. Whereas altis has a trunk instead of hatchback, and also has the same chrome grill running in both the tail lights. After the release of the facelift the taillights give a mature look to the car.

Both of the cars have dual tone alloy wheels, instead of single tone silver alloy wheels; both cars have the stylish 16 inch dual tone alloys which increases the beauty of the car.

INTERIOR

Both the cars have boring interior having dual tone black and beige interior and nothing more. The navigation panel in altis is better as it is finished in piano black, but the premium feel is destroyed by the simple rotatory ac knobs whereas the br-v has the climate control panel which is quite better than the altis but the dull design of the complete navigation panel. Altis has dual sided steering wheel control for multimedia as well as i-mid controls. Whereas the br-v has only single side multimedia control and also lack a digital speedometer. Altis comes with the simple fabric seats whereas the br-v has the leather seats.
Now coming towards the dimensions br-v is bigger car for the reason it would be more spacious car out of the two? But that’s not right, br-v has slightly bigger boot for the luggage after folding the 3rd row seats and the 2nd and the 3rd seats are not so much spacious as compared to the altis 1.6 whose seats are more comfortable. The only additional feature in br-v is the ac vents which the altis owner will miss out, beside that both the cars have same interior, but altis takes the lead in interior.



ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Br-v has 1497cc internal combustion engine which produces 118hp also have CVT transmission. Whereas the altis comes with 1598cc internal combustion engine which produces 120hp having simple 4 speed automatic transmission. Here br-v takes the lead due to the CVT transmission which gives the car a smooth shifting.

BR-V and corolla altis 1.6 are two different cars from two different categories, as br-v is seven seater compact suv and altis a full functioning sedan car. Both fulfill the need of two different peoples. If you are looking for a seven seater car for the city use then br-v is best for that but in case if you are not looking for seven seater than altis is the best having strong suspension, in the end it all depends upon the personal preference.
