.Potohar & Alto engine, Same ??

many ppl told me that alto and potohar engine are same,is it so??

if it is,then how 4by4 vehicle has such engine??also tell me gear and gearbox are part of engine work,thanx

I think Pak Suzuki does not have a lot of engines to work with so they put the same engine in most of their cars but due to different years there might be some upgrades like Fuel Injection, ecu and things. The same engine was used in Khyber, Cultus also.

As for the question how come its in the 4x4 well does not matter what engine you place in the 4x4 it is the gearbox and transfer case that matter in 4x4 cars. their engines might be similar but gears box and addition of Tcase make it different.
