2.OD 2001 Engine overhauling estimate

Asslam o Alaikum

I have 2001 Toyota 2.OD limited Corolla. from last 2 weeks the car is having problem in starting, I checked with mechanics they said that it has bad compression and engine need to be over haualed...one mechanic give me estimate of around 50000 and other just 15000. Now i am wondering which one is right please anyone help me about what should be reasonable amount for engine overhauling. I am in Karachi

as u have mentioned that ur car's compression is not up to the mark, possibilities are that the rings are gone, which will cost u around and under 5000,
