2004 Chevrolet Joy First gear problem

Hey there! Hope you’re doing well. I recently got a 2004 Chevrolet Joy, and it’s running great overall. I did run into a small problem, though. The clutch wire was loose, so I tightened it, but now I can’t seem to get first gear to engage. It feels like there’s nothing there when I try to shift into first, but second and third gears are working fine.

Can anyone help me figure out what might be going on?

the clutch might not be fully disengaging, which can prevent you from shifting into first gear. Double-check the clutch adjustment to ensure its set correctly. If that’s good, you might need to inspect the clutch linkage o r the transmission for any other issues. Good luck!
