Alto VXR Clutch

I have an Alto VXR 1000 with les than 1000Km on the meter. It has lost power and the pickup is not good at all. I can't get it go over 80 K.M even on the motorway. I have replaced the spark plugs and wires with high performance. My mechanic tells me that I need to replace the clutch. I think that he is right because there isn't any play left in the pedel. I have heard about high performance clutches but I;m not fimilar with what they do. Does any one know what the benefits are and if I can buy for a VXR? Also, how much is it likely to cost from where in Rawalpindi can I buy.

start ur car..
pull the hand break...
put car in 4th or 5th gear...
leav the clutch slowly, dont push gas.
if the engine stops imediatly then there is nothing wrong with clutch, as in ur case (loosing power) only thing that i guess could wrong with the clutch is its slipedge.
