Is there any way for getting to calculate the horse power of a car other than the dyno?? I dont mean stock cars,as we know their hp,mean a little modified so that we know how much its producing

Horsepower=Torque x RPM / 5252.

Of course it is. Given the above equation, even more so but then again thats not a valid real time application as the speed at which modern engines work, its tedious and impratical to measure horspower (because the motion is rotational and not linear). Engine dynmometers measure torque and RPM directly and Horsepower (IHP) is a calculated value.
