Breaks of honda city

Breaks of honda city

I was driving at 110 kmph and had to apply sudden breaks to avoid collission with a mini truck in front. The breaks behaved in very good manner, my car dint skid or lost control and stopped in very short distance.
It is far batter than toyota corolla(karalla)

I dont know if I should call you a good driver or a reckless one but, you must be good to stop a car without ABS in the circumstances you mention, if you floor the breaks, they will lock and make the car skid. So you have to press the pedal easily but on the other hand you need to stop quickly so you have to press it hard. Hence, you have to be exactly on the balance.

But driving a car with rear drum brakes at 110 km where some trucks are driving or standing is indeed reckless driving in my opinion.

So I think even if Honda had to leave out ABS they should have given disc brakes at the rear wheels for the City because that car can carry a lot of momentum and speed. Anything with an engine above 1000cc should have all discs. And anything above 1500cc should have ABS. Or they should be too heavy to go beyond 70-80 km/h.
