Can a dirty air filter reduce fuel efficiency in a Mehran?

I havent replaced the air filter on my Mehran in a while. Could a clogged o r dirty air filter be affecting the fuel average? How often should I change the air filter in Pakistani conditions?

Yes, absolutely. A clogged air filter restricts airflow to the engine, causing the fuel system to inject more fuel than necessary to maintain power, which s fuel efficiency.
In Pakistan’s dusty conditions, you should:

Check the air filter every 3,000–4,000 km

Replace it every 8,000–10,000 km, o r sooner if you drive in dusty rural areas.
