Can a faulty alternator cause my Suzuki Alto’s battery to die?

My Suzuki Altos battery keeps dying even after I replace it, and I’m wondering if the alternator might be the issue. Could a faulty alternator be preventing the battery from charging properly? How can I check if the alternator is causing the problem?

Yes, a faulty alternator can certainly cause your Suzuki Altos battery to die. The alternator is responsible for charging the battery while the engine is running. If the alternator is malfunctioning:

Undercharging: The battery will not receive enough charge, leading to it draining over time.
Signs of a Faulty Alternator: You may notice dimming headlights, unusual sounds from the engine, o r an illuminated battery light on your dashboard.
Solution:

Check the Alternator Output: Use a multimeter to check the alternator’s output voltage. When the engine is running, it should read between 13.7 to 14.7 volts.
Check for Alternator Belt Issues: Sometimes a worn o r loose alternator belt can reduce the charging efficiency. If the belt is damaged, it should be replaced.
Visit a Mechanic: If the alternator is faulty, it needs to be repaired o r replaced to ensure the battery is properly charged.
