Can a faulty alternator cause the bulbs in my Suzuki Alto to burn out?
I recently replaced the bulbs in my Suzuki Alto, but they keep burning out quickly. Someone mentioned that a faulty alternator could be the cause, causing voltage spikes that damage the bulbs. Is this true, and how can I check if the alternator is the problem?

Yes, a faulty alternator can cause bulb burnouts. The alternator is responsible for regulating the voltage supply to various electrical components in your vehicle, including the headlights. If the alternator is malfunctioning o r the voltage regulator is damaged, it may cause voltage spikes o r overcharging, which can burn out the bulbs prematurely.
How to check:
Test the alternator: Use a multimeter to check the voltage coming from the alternator. It should be around 13.5 to 14.5 volts. If it is higher than this range, it could indicate a problem.
If you notice fluctuating voltages o r an increase in bulb failures, you may need to replace the alternator o r voltage regulator.
Solution:
Replace the faulty alternator o r voltage regulator to prevent further damage to the bulbs.
Consider checking the wiring for any issues that might cause irregular electrical flows.
