Can a faulty MAP sensor cause my Suzuki Mehran to lose power o r stall?

My Mehran sometimes loses power while driving o r even stalls at low speeds. Someone mentioned that the MAP sensor could be the issue. What does this sensor do, and how can I know if its causing the problem?

Yes, a bad MAP Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor can cause your Mehran to:

Lose power

Hesitate on acceleration

Stall, especially when idling

The MAP sensor tells the ECU how much air is entering the engine. If it sends wrong signals, the ECU delivers the wrong fuel amount. This leads to poor performance. Replacing the faulty sensor usually solves the issue.
