CNG Circulation Issues
CNG Circulation Issues
I was thinking of asking this before, and what a coincidence, a board for doing just that. Great Job Pakwheels.
Anyways, to my point; my Kia NGV has somewhat of a unique issue when it comes to CNG. Every time I get CNG refilled, I start the car from the station and leave. When I stop the car/hit the brakes/take the foot of the gas etc, the engine just shuts down. And when I try to start it, it takes an eternity and still wont start. It isnt until converting to petrol that it comes back to normal. This goes on for at least another morning and the last morning before I get it filled again, it's fine.
If this sounds like an already asked question, just remember that Im putting a lot of stress on the fact happens only after filling CNG.
I'll give you an example. On Sunday, I took it to Dadu and filled CNG from the FPM CNG station there at Sohrab Ghot. When I arrived at the Karachi Toll Plaza, it just shut down and wouldnt start. Convert to petrol and CNG again, by the time I get to Hyderabad, it doesnt shut down; its working fine. Get it refilled from Hyderabad and go to Dadu, by the time I get to the Petaro Tool Plaza, same drill.
Bottom line is that for some reason, the car cant seem to keep a continuous circulation for CNG. Is there some kind of adjustment necessary, or might there be something wrong with the CNG kit. (BTW, its a BRC FF kit from Kia.) If I can get any help on this, please, please, do let me know.

hello!
loooks like incorrect idle adjustment....mixture is not setted perfectly resulting in this........when you release gas pedal...engine stalls.....
so you 1st check that its idle mixtures are adjusted properly and as you have RPM so check on what RPM's engine is idling....it must be below 1000rpms....meas on meter it must ke on or below 1 Mark.......
2nd thing is as you said its circulation...so its circulation lags...car must continue this problem.............so this is caused by incorrect mixture setting....and check plugs also....gap should be 0.6mm or 0.7mm for CNG........hard starting problem is usually solved by this......also check for any oil inside kit...get it drain if any......
i think its mostly all incorrect mixture setting on CNg causing this......also clean your air filter weekly for best results..
Thanxxx
