Comparing 96 Prado and Pajero with 5VZ-FE

Im looking to buy a 4x4 and my budget is around 25 lakhs. I found a Pajero from 1996 in decent shape that comes with a Toyota 5 VZ FE 3400 cc engine. I’m a bit worried about whether this engine is compatible with the Pajero and if parts will be easy to find, like they are for a Prado. I was originally hoping to buy a 1996 Prado, but it’s way over my budget. Should I wait until I can afford the Prado, o r go ahead and get the Pajero with the Toyota engine?

Hey, I wouldnt recommend considering the Pajero with the 5VZ engine. The reason its priced so low is that it has undergone significant changes, like an engine swap with a different brand. Most people prefer original vehicles o r those that haven’t been heavily modified, so this might not be a great choice. I think it’s best to steer clear of it. If youre looking for a decent J95, you’ll probably need a budget of around 4 million.
