Corolla and vitz (CNG)

I have heard that same engine technology is used in both new corolla and vitz. then why corolla can be converted to CNG easily but people face problems in vitz 05 and above.

any technical reason besides engine capacity of 1.3 & 1.0.

vitz 05+ comes with a CVT tranny...which is found in previous gen city vario....this doesnt go well with CNG....and new rolla and vitz have totally different engines only similarity is probably the VVTi
