Corolla XLI on CNG? is it ok?

Hi Guys,

I have an option of leasing myself a new car and i am trying to choose between teh new city or the corolla XLi.
Now, since i am a ghareeb insan, i can only afford CNG. is corolla performance on CNG good?

The reason i am asking is that my cousin buoght an XLI and converted it to CNG. his car gave him so much trouble that he had the CNG kit taken out in just 2 months. the car would turn itself off while driving or when on idle. and there were jerks as well. he showed it to a lot of people. even toyota ravi but they couldnot figure it out.
The best answer that we got was " CNG corolla 2009 pae kamyab hi nahi hai "

please let me know if that is teh case so i dont get into somethign i can not afford.


I have a feeling that a lot of people here have their XLi's on CNG and ar happy wih it.

Well that example of your is rare... Obviously cars run better on original fuel rather than alternative.


Ur car performance on CNG greatly depends on which type of cng kit ur using may be ur cousin had bad luck in this box.


Other than that rolla on CNG is better than city and this also depends greatly on ur usage.
