Cost/benefit analysis of Lambda control system

Salam All,

a friend of mine wants to convert his city to cng... have seen some options... have queries regarding lambda system.

lambda costs around 12K these days... whats the benefit? a petrol like "feel" only... it cant be like petrol anyways... so is it worth 12K.

question is for those who have actually seen the different with and without lambda in their cars....

i think CNG guru will help me here

a good quality set of advancer and emulator used to cost 7000 Rs in the year 1999-2000 ....

now its almost the same.......for the same quality around 6000-6500 Rs.

when the lambda control system came at was marketed around 18000-20000Rs for the original stuff... now u can get poor chinese quality around 10,000 Rs which doesnt work at all
for a good guaranteed product 14000-15000 Rs is still the minimum price......

secondally look at the question "akifjanjua" posted here. it clearly says what is the benefit if he puts one in his car....

my answer is go for it if u want to save 20% gas and get the same feeling as u are driving on petrol.

Driving pleaasure has a price !!! right and it increases if u are saving fuel with it .

i suggest u dont advice people if u dont know abt it...............it will protect ur credibility on Pakwheels
