Could a low coolant level be causing my Suzuki Alto to overheat?

I’ve noticed that my Suzuki Alto’s engine temperature is rising too high, and I’m worried it might overheat. Could a low coolant level be the cause, and how can I check and refill the coolant if needed?

Yes, a low coolant level is one of the most common causes of engine overheating in the Suzuki Alto. The coolant is essential for absorbing and dissipating heat from the engine, and if it’s low, the engine won’t be able to stay cool, resulting in overheating.

Signs of Low Coolant:

Temperature Gauge Rising: If the coolant is low, you’ll notice the engine temperature gauge moving toward the red zone o r the engine overheating light turning on.
Visible Coolant Leak: You may notice coolant leaking from under the vehicle o r around the radiator, hoses, o r water pump.
Engine Running Hot: When driving, the engine may start to feel unusually hot, and you may hear strange noises o r see steam from under the hood.
Solution:

Check Coolant Level Regularly: Always monitor the coolant level in the reservoir, especially during the hot months.
Refill the Coolant: If the coolant level is low, top it up with the correct coolant mixture refer to the owner’s manual for recommended coolant types.
Inspect for Leaks: If the coolant level s frequently, there could be a leak in the system that needs to be addressed by a mechanic.
