Could a misaligned wheel be causing uneven tire tread wear on my Suzuki Alto?

I’m seeing significant uneven tire tread wear on my Suzuki Alto, and I suspect it might be due to wheel alignment issues. Can a misaligned wheel cause this problem, and how can I check and fix the alignment?

Yes, a misaligned wheel is one of the most common causes of uneven tire tread wear. When the wheels are misaligned, they do not sit straight with respect to the car’s body, causing the tires to wear unevenly. For example:

Toe misalignment: This occurs when the front of the tires points inward o r outward, causing uneven wear on the inner o r outer edges of the tires.
Camber misalignment: If the wheels lean too much inward o r outward, this can cause excessive wear on one side of the tire.
Caster misalignment: This affects the angle of the steering axis, and misalignment here can cause uneven tread wear and poor handling.
How to fix it:

Get a wheel alignment: Have a professional mechanic perform a wheel alignment to ensure your wheels are aligned according to factory specifications. This will correct any misalignment and prevent further uneven wear.
