Could leaving lights o r electrical accessories on in my Suzuki Alto cause the battery to die?

I sometimes forget to turn off the headlights o r leave the air conditioning on while the engine is off. Could this cause my Suzuki Alto’s battery to drain? How long does it typically take for the battery to die in these situations?
