Daihatsu Mira Gasket Issue

Daihatsu Mira Gasket Issue

Hey everyone,

I had a bit of a problem with my car recently. It started overheating, so I took it to the mechanic, and they said it needs a gasket replacement. The thing is, the mechanic is recommending replacing the whole assembly, and its going to cost around 50k.

The good news is that the cars power is still good, theres no mixing of oil and water, no weird bubbles, and the water body seems fine. So, Im wondering if anyone here has had the gasket replaced on a 660cc car before?

Also, if you have any recommendations for a good mechanic in Rawalpindi/Islamabad, please let me know.

Id really appreciate any advice o r help. It just doesnt seem right to replace the entire assembly when the car still starts and drives fine.

People usually call cars in the 660cc category disposable gadi because they tend to be quite sensitive, and the chances of successfully repairing them are often pretty low. In the end, you usually end up having to replace parts.

However, if you managed to catch the overheating issue early and didnt push the car too hard o r test its limits, theres a slim chance that just replacing the gasket might do the trick.
