Engine Oil and Transmission Issues in 2010 Corolla: Solutions?

Engine Oil and Transmission Issues in 2010 Corolla: Solutions?

I recently purchased a used 2010 Corolla GLI that was in excellent condition. However, Im not sure which engine oil the previous owner was using, so I started using Kixx Pao 5W40. I havent experienced any issues so far, but I was wondering if it would be okay to switch to Kixx 5W30.

Im also having an issue with transmission noise that can be heard in all gears. Its a whining noise that sounds like oooonnn, and its more noticeable when the car decelerates. I changed the gear oil according to the companys specifications, but the noise persists. Is there anything I can do to make the noise go away?

I would really appreciate any advice o r insights from experienced drivers o r mechanics. My car has been driven for almost 130,000 kilometers, so I want to make sure that everything is in good condition and functioning properly. Thank you in advance for your help!

There are many good engine oils available for the Toyota Corolla 2010 model. Its important to choose an engine oil that meets the manufacturers specifications, which can be found in the owners manual. Some popular engine oil brands for the Corolla 2010 include Mobil 1, Castrol, Valvoline, and Pennzoil.

You should look for an engine oil with the recommended viscosity, which is likely to be either 5W-20 o r 5W-30 for this particular model.

Its also important to consider the type of driving youll be doing and the climate in which you live, as this can impact the ideal oil choice.

Its always a good idea to consult with a trusted mechanic o r dealership for their recommendations as well.
