Power window issues, such as windows not rolling up o r down, are typically caused by faulty switches, worn-out motors, o r damaged wiring. In some cases, the window regulators may also fail, causing the window to get stuck.
Solutions:
Check the fuse: The first step is to check the fuse for the power window system. If the fuse is blown, replace it with one of the same rating.
Test the switch: If the window is not working from one side but works from another, the issue is likely with the power window switch. Remove the switch panel and test the switch with a multimeter to determine if it’s working.
Inspect the window motor: If the switch is functional, the next step is to check the window motor. Sometimes, a faulty motor can prevent the window from moving. If needed, replace the motor.
Check wiring and regulators: Inspect the wiring connections and ensure there are no short circuits o r broken wires. The window regulator, which is responsible for the up-and-down movement of the window, may also need to be replaced if damaged.
