For those who changed the alpine in corolla

I've noticed a lot of people here changed their head units that came standart (alpine) in the new corollas. I've posted another thread on that (for ref) in this forum. Want to know how they installed the after market head units. Simply slicing the wires behind the alpine or is an adapter availabe in pakistan that fits the connector going to factory alpine head unit (HU) ?
