Gear change problem in automatic corolla SE 94

salam to all ,is there anyone who can tell me what to do ? i have got corolla 1600cc SE G WITH AUTO GEAR BOX. everyday in morning when i travel in morning to work ,the last gear does,nt change until about 15 miles.
it means the gear just stuck somewhere and i have to drive on over 4000 rpm @ 110 k/m per hour and than it goes down to normal after 15 -20 miles.
i have changed the gear box oil but it still the same after a while.oil is still new.

its no fault..
its a genuine feature of the auto gearbox that it won't shift to overdrive, till the time the engine has reached its ambient temperature. it is to save the engine from taking extra strain/ load till the time it has not warmed up to its desired(ambient) temperature.
this thing must have been mentioned in the owner's manual also, if u have got the car new.
the colder the outside temperature, more time it would take to warm up and hence shifting to overdrive.
u may like to check the thermostat valve and the auto fan switch, that they shud be working properly.
